Welcome to the 2026–2027 School Year & Back-to-School / Launch Night Details!

Dear Families,

Welcome back to a brand-new school year! We are so excited to partner with you for the 2026–2027 school year and can't wait to see our students back on campus.

Here are a few important announcements and upcoming dates to keep in mind:

First Week of School Schedule

Classes begin this week based on the day of the week your student’s class meets:

• Tuesday Classes: First day of class is tomorrow, Tuesday, September 1st.

• Wednesday Classes: First day of class is Wednesday, September 2nd.

• (This pattern continues for all other class schedules throughout the week!)

Back-to-School & Launch Night!

• 📅 Date: Thursday, September 3rd

• ⏰ Time: 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM

Join us to kick off the school year! During the evening:

• Picnic Dinner: Families are welcome to bring a picnic dinner to enjoy during the event to eat on the grass in the back.

• Bottle Rocket Launch: Bring a 2-liter bottle rocket to launch starting at 6:45 PM behind the building!

• Classrooms, Office & Library Open: Our classrooms as well as the main office and library will all be open throughout the event for questions, resources, and check-ins.

Consultant Assignments

Each family has been assigned a consultant for the year. Your consultant will be reaching out to you shortly to introduce themselves and schedule your first meeting.

Wednesday Early Releases (Professional Development)

Please note that MCP (ALL GRADE LEVELS) will now be following the Kennewick School District high school early release schedule on specific Wednesdays throughout the year to allow our teachers time for professional development. Wednesday early release dates are 9/16, 9/30, 11/4, 12/9. 1/13, 2/3, 3/3, 3/31, & 5/12 at 12:30pm. They are also listed on our calendar. We will have a shortened day schedule and will post it once we get it ironed out.
