All students with life-threatening health issues by law must have an up-to-date Individualized health plan and medication at school. These things need to be brought to the office by August 20th to give the nurse time to review, set up plans and notify staff. Students who do not have these plans in place will not be allowed to start school. Letters with paperwork to update will be coming home in the next few weeks.
Students that are out of compliance with immunizations will also receive notice in the mail and proof of immunizations will be needed before the student can start in the fall. Remember, all incoming 6th grade students must have a Tdap after age 11 before starting 6th grade.
If you have questions or concerns about either of these things please feel free to call me at 509-222-6603 or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
