MCP is excited to welcome our 2019-2020 kindergarten students and their families. Students will get to tour the building, meet some teachers, complete a craft, and get to know MCP. While students are with Mrs. DeFord, families will sit down with Mrs. DeForest to review all things kindergarten!

Need Help with Curriculum?
Attention all kindergarten thru 8th grade families. Do you need help choosing materials or ordering curriculum? If so click here to schedule a time to meet with Kelly Anderson.  This is a great opportunity to get one on one help ordering curriculum or help choosing materials that will help you and your child be successful. 
Individualized Health Plan Information
All students with life-threatening health issues by law must have an up-to-date Individualized health plan and medication at school.  These things need to be brought to the office by August 20th to give the nurse time to review, set up plans and notify staff.  Students who do not have these plans in place will not be allowed to start school.  Letters with paperwork to update will be coming home in the next few weeks.

Students that are out of compliance with immunizations will also receive notice in the mail and proof of immunizations will be needed before the student can start in the fall.  Remember, all incoming 6th grade students must have a Tdap after age 11 before starting 6th grade.

School Closures & Delays 

MCP Delay and Cancellation Schedules

Cancellation – If Kennewick School district cancels school, MCP will all be closed.

Two Hour Delay - If Kennewick School District is on a two hour delay:

K-8th Grades – Classes begin at 10:00 am – Go to your 10 a.m. class.

High School –

                                                First Hour – 9:40-10:25 a.m.

                                                Second Hour – 10:30-11:25 a.m.

                                                Lunch – 11:25-11:55 a.m.

                                                Third Hour - 12:00-1:25 p.m.

                                                Fourth Hour – 1:30-3:00 p.m.

            **No Math Lab if it falls on a Monday or Wednesday

Three Hour Delay - If Kennewick School District is on a 3 hour delay:

K-8th Grades – Classes begin at 11:00 a.m. – Go directly to your 11:00 a.m. class.

High School - All high school classes will begin on a three hour late start. There will be no first or second hour. The Noon class and 1:30 class will be regular lengths. Teachers from the first two sessions may use EDMODO to post a learning target for the time they are missing and kids can do it from home.

Attention MCP Students! By yourself, with a friend or as family, show us your talent. Dust off those tutus, tune up those instruments, and warm-up your voices for an act of under THREE minutes. May 30th at 6:00 pm Sign up in family room by May 2nd.

Samon Summit

High School Students and 3rd-5th grade students enrolled in Salmon in Classroom will get to attend Salmon Summit at Columbia Park to learn all about salmon. It's a great day!
